What is the JAMB cut off mark to study in Ghana?
JAMB is the body that conducts entrance examination into tertiary institutions in Nigeria only. There is no cut off mark in Ghana because Ghana does not write any entrance examination whatsoever. In fact, many countries around the world do not write entrance examination for entrance into tertiary institution.
So, if there is no entrance examination, what is the requirement?
The only thing that is required to study for your first degree is your O'Level result. Many universities in Ghana recognise only WAEC. So five credits are sufficient.
When is the next admission?
Admissions are usually done two times in a calendar year: January admission and September admission. Forms for January intake go for sale from October while forms for September intake go for sale from July. However, intakes for some courses are done once in a year, for example, medicine. Contact us know if your course is avalaible at a particular time.
What is the duration for the courses?
If you enrol by January (foundly called 'January Student'), you will likely to do three years. If you enrol by September ('September Student'), you will likely do four years for your degree. However, some courses could be more, eg medicine.
How much is the tuition fee?
Depending on the course and the university that offers your course, both the admission form and tuition fee differ. Contact us for details.
